Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information BarBooster collects, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use barbooster.io, venue mini-sites, apps, and related services.

1. Who we are
BarBooster provides software and payment tools that let venues run branded mini-sites, accept guest boosts (tips), manage staff, and optionally stream live content. For privacy questions, contact support@barbooster.io.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use BarBooster, we may collect:
Guests / boosts — name, email, boost amount and order details, optional message, IP address at checkout, and the time and version of purchase terms you accepted. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Venue, staff, and partner accounts — account and contact details (such as name, email, phone), venue profile and banking or payout details you provide, staff profiles and photos, login credentials (stored securely), and activity needed to operate the service (orders, payouts, commissions, live-stream settings).
Live features — if a venue enables live stream, we may process chat messages, reactions, on-stream staff selection, and age-confirmation status stored on your device.
Technical data — IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, and basic diagnostics or error logs needed to keep the platform secure and working.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Process boosts, receipts, refunds disputes, and venue / partner payouts
- Operate mini-sites, dashboards, staff hubs, live pages, and admin tools
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unwarranted chargebacks
- Communicate about orders, account status, security, and service updates
- Improve reliability, support, and product features
- Comply with legal and accounting obligations
4. Payments
Card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe’s use of your payment data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy. BarBooster receives payment status, identifiers (such as payment intent IDs), and amounts needed to record orders and settle fees.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Venues — receive guest name, email, order/boost details, and related delivery info so they can fulfil boosts and support guests
- Payment processors — Stripe and banking partners for charging and payouts
- Service providers — hosting, email, and infrastructure vendors under confidentiality obligations
- Partners — referring partners may see commission and attributed venue performance data, not guest card details
- Legal — when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the platform
We do not sell personal information.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar storage for sessions, language preference, remembered checkout details (where you opt in), live age confirmation on a device, and basic analytics or security. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser; some features may stop working if you do.
7. Retention
We keep order, payout, and account records for as long as needed to operate the service, handle disputes, and meet tax or legal requirements. You may ask us to delete or correct account data where we are not required to keep it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (including HTTPS and access controls) to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and protect your login details.
9. International use
BarBooster is used by venues and guests across Asia and elsewhere. Information may be processed in the country where our hosting and service providers operate. By using the service you understand that your data may be transferred to those locations for the purposes described here.
10. Children
BarBooster and venue live streams are intended for adults. Live pages may require an 18+ confirmation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
11. Your choices
You can update account profile details in your dashboard where available. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, email support@barbooster.io. Guests who only completed a boost can contact us with the receipt email and order number. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
12. Venues’ responsibility
Each venue controls its own mini-site content, staff profiles, and how boosts are fulfilled on-site. Venues must handle guest information they receive in line with applicable law and their own notices where required.
13. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The version date above will change when we do. Continued use of BarBooster after an update means you accept the revised policy.
